Our Organization
EcoMetrix Solutions Group, LLC (EMX) is a team of natural resource specialists and decision support tool designers. Our multidisciplinary approach means we address problems from innovative, nature-based perspectives, customized to meet client needs. We partner with leaders across sectors to help them make informed decisions about managing natural resources, siting and designing facilities, and getting the most from their conservation investments. Common client challenges often involve asset management, risk mitigation, design and engineering, and community relations.
Our Services
We help our clients minimize environmental impacts and risk, while maximizing the conservation value of their actions. We operate within a decision-making framework that focuses on the benefits society receives from the environment. We help clients understand how changes or impacts to natural capital assets at any scale (site-level to landscape) can affect project sustainability and risk.
Ecosystem Intelligence (EI)
In 2015, we launched the Ecosystem Services Identification & Inventory Tool (ESII) in collaboration with the Dow Chemical Company and The Nature Conservancy. ESII was an iPad app and web interface that helped users understand the benefits that nature provides and incorporated the value of nature into decision making. Over the last several months we have been working on a major overhaul of the ESII Tool and its functionality.
This effort has resulted in a new suite of assessment tools we are calling Ecosystem Intelligence (EI). EI has been designed to provide input to the decision-making process at all stages of a project life cycle, from pre-planning to long-term monitoring.
